Formula 1 have announced updates to the calendar in the wake of Covid cancellations, reshuffling some of the dates reducing the schedule to 22 race, which is still record breaking.

The dates for the remainder of the season are as follows:
03-05 Sept: Netherlands (Zandvoort)
10-12 Sept: Italy
24-26 Sept: Russia
08-10 Oct: Turkey
22-24 Oct: USA
05-07 Nov: Mexico
12-14 Nov: Brazil
19-21 Nov: TBC
03-05 Dec: Saudi Arabia
10-12 Dec: Abu Dhabi
The Turkey GP will now take place one weekend later, with Mexico now starting a new triple header. The location of the last November race is still to be confirmed, however there has been strong indications to suggest it will be held in Qatar.
The President and CEO of F1 commented on the changes, saying:
"We are very pleased to announce the updates to the 2021 calendar following extensive discussions with the promoters and national authorities... The pandemic continues to present the season with challenges but we have proven we can adapt and we are confident we can deliver a record-breaking 22 races this year despite a global pandemic... I want to thank the promoters in Brazil, Mexico and Turkey for their patience and flexibility and we will provide the details of the final addition soon. This season is proving to be an incredible battle on the track and this is hugely exciting for our fans around the world and we look forward to the intensity continuing in the races ahead."
However there are still some concerns as Turkey, Mexico and Brazil still remain on the UK's red travel list. With 7 of the 10 teams based in the nation, plus F1 the organisations itself, it has the potential throw more spanners in the works.
Stay tuned for more updates!
